Self-Respect
I came with self-respect,
I shall leave with honour,
My will unbroken, my dignity intact.
I am not afraid,
Nor shall I give another cause to fear,
For my birth is human,
And humanity is my faith.
What wealth I have is mine to give,
What wisdom I have is mine to share,
For the sky is my home,
And the earth is my shrine.
Come what may,
I shall stand by my own,
I shall not abandon them,
Nor shall I flee this land.
Let people say what they will,
Let people do what they want,
In the end, the truth shall triumph,
Here, now, as always.
On this earth there is none,
Who can rob me of my self-esteem,
On this earth there is none,
Who can force me to act against my will.
